DUSEAL AP

DUSEAL AP is an excellent heat and light reflective special self-adhesive waterproofing membrane reinforced with high quality non-woven Polyester mat for excellent tensile and mechanical properties. The top surface of the membrane is covered with superior laminated aluminum foil that is corrosion and alkali resistant and the bottom surface with a siliconized release foil or paper. The elastomeric nature of the synthetically modified coating is designed as a homogeneous mixture of a special bitumen and high quality type SBS elastomer, which ensures high performance product quality.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Excellent water vapor barrier.
  • Aluminum faced; prevents solar heat gain; reduces heat ageing. More membrane life.
  • Indirect saving on energy.
  • Cold applied; No bonding agent required.
  • Excellent bonding strength.
  • Superior dimensional stability.
  • Excellent flexibility at low temperatures.
  • High tensile and tear strength.
  • Excellent durability.
  • Easy application.
  • Self adhesive from + 5?C and more

MAIN USES

  • Efficient water vapor barrier
  • As Waterproofing and light and heat reflective exposed membrane.
  • Applied in ducts, tunnels and vertical structures.
  • Applied directly on thermal insulation boards (Expanded Polystyrene, Extruded Polystyrene, Polyurethane, Glass and Rock wool) to form a waterproofing, vapor barrier and thermal insulation combined system.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

The surface to be waterproofed should be dry, smooth, and free from dust, dirt, protrusions and cavities. The surface should be primed thoroughly with Duproof Primer and allow drying. The drying time depends on the porosity of the substrate and the environmental conditions (approx. 0.5 – 3 hrs.)Install DUSEAL AP by removing the release foil / paper and unrolling the membrane along with it. Press the membrane firmly and carefully to the prepared surface in order not to entrap air between the substrate and the membraneThe membrane especially at the overlaps should be firmly pressed down from the center to the sides, to ensure a good seal and to remove entrapped air.DUSEAL in general can be adhered to various types of substrate (concrete, concrete blocks, bricks, foam concrete, fiber cement board, wood boards and metal substrates) by removing the siliconized foil paper from the bottom side.

PACKING & STORAGE

DUSEAL AP membranes are supplied in rolls 1m x 15m shrink- wrapped on pallets. Keep rolls upright on pallets under shade.

HEALTH & SAFETY

There are no direct health hazards associated with DUSEAL membranes. Normal precautions for hot and volatile substances should be observed during application. Refer to our MSDS sheets for advice.
