MAIN USES
- Efficient water vapor barrier
- As Waterproofing and light and heat reflective exposed membrane.
- Applied in ducts, tunnels and vertical structures.
- Applied directly on thermal insulation boards (Expanded Polystyrene, Extruded Polystyrene, Polyurethane, Glass and Rock wool) to form a waterproofing, vapor barrier and thermal insulation combined system.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
The surface to be waterproofed should be dry, smooth, and free from dust, dirt, protrusions and cavities. The surface should be primed thoroughly with Duproof Primer and allow drying. The drying time depends on the porosity of the substrate and the environmental conditions (approx. 0.5 – 3 hrs.)Install DUSEAL AP by removing the release foil / paper and unrolling the membrane along with it. Press the membrane firmly and carefully to the prepared surface in order not to entrap air between the substrate and the membrane. The membrane especially at the overlaps should be firmly pressed down from the center to the sides, to ensure a good seal and to remove entrapped air.DUSEAL in general can be adhered to various types of substrate (concrete, concrete blocks, bricks, foam concrete, fiber cement board, wood boards and metal substrates) by removing the siliconized foil / paper from the bottom side.
PACKING & STORAGE
DUSEAL AP membranes are supplied in rolls 1m x 15m shrink- wrapped on pallets. Keep rolls upright on pallets under shade.
HEALTH & SAFETY
There are no direct health hazards associated with DUSEAL membranes. Normal precautions for hot and volatile substances should be observed during application. Refer to our MSDS sheets for advice.
